We are kicking off 2025 with our first event in conjunction with Slim Chickens in Towne Madison. If you visit them between 5:00 PM and 9:00 PM on Thursday January 30th and mention Foster House Project, they will donate 15% of the cost of your order to our cause to support foster children in Madison county. Mark your calendar for this and be sure to tell your friends.
Fundraiser Our first annual fundraiser was an inspiring success. It was a time for us to spend with old and new friends all sharing hope and encouragement for what the Foster House can be. There was great food, an inspiring message from a wonderful speaker and awesome music that set the perfect tone for the entire evening. We had fifty four guests in attendance and after expenses we collected a little over $4,500 in donations. I (Tony) personally cannot express how excited and encouraged I was by the outpouring of support. Below is a list of some of the folks we want to express out thanks to, This list is not exhaustive because I know I have overlooked someone.

In 2023 we saw the Foster House Project go from a spark of what if into a real-life mission to bring comfort to children entering the foster care system. We are constantly encouraged by the response we get, everywhere we go and speak to people. Once they understand the problem the response is “how can I help?” The current goal is also our biggest. We must raise money to buy or build a house here in Madison County for this dream to be a reality.
We are excited to introduce the Foster House Project, a nonprofit organization dedicated to reducing the trauma associated with the transition into foster care by offering a nurturing environment where the immediate needs of these vulnerable children are met. We seek to redefine a child’s entry into the foster care experience. We believe that every child deserves a loving, welcoming, and secure environment during this critical time in their lives.
(IRC) Section 501 (c )(3 ) Status Granted!!! With an elated heart, full of praise to God, we would like you all to know that the IRS has declared the Foster House Project a 501(c)(3) nonprofit!!!! How can we not see God’s hand in this, as the timeline for the approval was 6-12 months! It took just over 5 weeks for our approval!!!
We are so ready to get this going!! These kids can’t wait!!
Our wonderful account Carol has donated her time to the cause, and is working on the tax exempt application with us.
Incorporation Paperwork Received from the State The paperwork is back from the state and we exist. Next steps center around the tax exempt process and starting to do what work we can at this point.
